Arrangement Ideas When
Moving for Study
home moving articles and tips
Changing the school or the university - you should definitely need to take with yourself the most important things when it's time for the big move. Your favorite study items are only a hint of all the big heavy objects to take with yourself, but after the move comes another difficult and yet long adventure - the arrangement of all your belongings. This may take several days and even weeks until you get everything in order and visually pleasing.
If you have roommates to share a flat or a small apartment - the journey becomes even more difficult and overwhelming, because you have to deal with space saving, etc. A great idea is to follow some order or an arrangement checklist and another great idea is to make it in advance. Next are few arrangement ideas and tricks that can help you to take a pick of the vast array of opts and things to do after unloading the moving van.
First, one of the most important things to have in hand is a floor plan of the room. Even a simple sketch can do the perfect job, because it will show what to do first, second, etc., and so to eliminate the chance of forgetting something. Update that list every time when possible, yet to make everything at once is usually impossible. Sketch where to unload the big heavy objects. It would be quite easier to label the boxes with the items they keep, and then to unload them near their places where they have to be after the arrangement. Sketch also the exact places of the sockets for the electricity, which gives a better orientation of where to put the lights and where should be the spot with the best Wi-Fi performance.
Second, there are two main types of arrangement - the more practical one and the more comfortable one. If you want to make it more practical and easy for everyday study - put the desk near the windows so the sunlight can penetrate freely. However, the prolonged exposure of direct sunlight isn't recommended, because it causes eye irritation - just like on the beach during the summer vacations.
To make it more comfortable and cozier - the desk can be located near the bed or somewhere around the corners of the room, which see the less foot traffic. Put carpets and rugs with long fibers on the floor, as well as curtains, big cushions on the sofas and other fabric materials everywhere in the room. This will enhance the sound absorption and so it will definitely be quieter and cozier - just perfect for study during the short winter days.
If you want to reduce the sounds and noises from outside your room - the best way is to isolate the doors and the windows with soundproof materials. It's known that the better concentration helps to studying easier, while the quite atmosphere improves the concentration. Even more, you can put artificial soft lights on the desk, instead of using bright colored lights.
Take your free time to arrange the library and don't underestimate it. It requires a lot of free time so to keep the books in your favorite order and to make the library one of your favorite places. Note that the books are very heavy when stacked in one place, so it's better to move them in small, but numerous moving boxes.
Call friends, colleagues or roommates to help with the heavy lifting of objects. Call them at least a couple of days before the move just to make sure that they are free. On the other hand, some other arrangement ideas are always in plus.
